Possible Piezo headphone thats not Pioneer?

I'm not sure which one....the description on the top says so. Since there are only 3 under the piezo brand, and one is an electret. Its either the DSR-7 or 8.....maybe...unless the model just isnt listed there

Hmm well the ESR is electret....so I doubt thats it... the first paragaph or so states something about a piezo principle driver, and then shows a diagram if you click the hyperlink.

Before Pennwalt commercialized PVDF film, there was a long history of piezo earphones, headphones and phono cartridges using piezo crystals of Rochelle salt. That's what's in the diagram I saw.

Those earphones you see in old '50s photos of teens listening to their transistor radios are all piezos. They made dandy little microphones too.

I think you're seeing socalled crystal headphones in those photos. I await refutation.
