Hello, once again, my fellow Head-Fi'ers,
I am the happy owner of DT770 Pro (80 ohm)'s along with a PA2V2 amp and an iPod digital-to-analog audio converter. Recently, I was having trouble with one of the two of the latter, which I was unable to isolate. I decided to attempt to use a standard 3.5mm audio cable with two male ends to see if it was the amp or not, and have no problem, and after I plugged it all back together, I accidently left the amp on max. I turned on the amp and the iPod, and it blasted and scratched all over. I immediately turned down the amp, but as i now continue listening, it sounds almost as if the bass has been severely weakened. Now I may just be a paranoid idiot (if so, forgive me please), but is there a chance that I may have passed the 100milliwatt power handling capacity, as the PA2V2 claims to be capable of up to 200 milliwatts? And if so, are there any repairs that can be done professionally?
