Back when I first got my Grado SR 325's in December of 2000, one of my complaints was about a rather thin bass. I had recently purchased a hearing test CD from Digital Recordings (http://www.digital-recordings.com/audiocd/audio.html), so I made an audiogram of myself using the Grado's just after my purchase.

Today, a year later, I made another audiogram to compare the results, and am quite surprised to see about a 10 dB shift at very low frequencies! But maybe that's not really surprising, because over the past year, I have had less and less cause to complain about a thin bass, and in fact now find it quite satisfying.

At the above link, you can see the measurements I made. Note that the second curve was scaled down by 10 dB, because in between measurements I switched soundcards from a Soundblaster AWE 64 Gold to an M-Audio Audiophile 2496 and lost my volume reference. However, I believe the data is still quite valid and suggestive of a real burn-in phenomenon.
