I have a Stax SR-5N that I've had for a few years now, and for the first time, I'm getting a channel imbalance with a loss of volume in my left channel, any ideas on what could cause this and/or possible fixes?

I notice no loss of detail, clarity, dynamics, or functionality, I'm getting maybe 85% volume on the left cup versus 100% on the right.

Fun fact: Seems like my perception and adjustment of the volume knob is more left ear dependent, not being swayed too much by the imbalance initially, I set the volume and listened through La Vida Breve... felt like my Stax were trying to kill me :L3000:

Blown/Bad resistor perhaps? Could also be a short/frayed cable. Or it could be a driver wearing out.

Just a few thoughts...
