there is stuff you can spray on cable that will reduce your animal's likelyhood for eating munching you cable.

i forgott what its called, my dog listens the phones, but does not bite the cable.

search. i think it was some type of oil. perhaps bitter apple spray?

The dog is very much alive and well. Headphones can be replaced........this dog is part of the family and will be sorely missed when her time comes. But now I keep my canal phones in a sealed case.

my iguana sank her claws into my advent prodigy 2 speaker (henry kloss designed) foam surrounds. i guess she wanted to see where the cool sound came from (she did both woofers). after i freaked out i realized they needed re-foaming anyway. good iguana!

I have had audio gear damaged by dogs, cats, babies, drunken room-mates, and racoons. Of the lot the racoons were the worst. They tear things up just to see if it will piss you off, and I swear the little bastards take notes!

I live with 5 dogs, and none of them have ever touched any equipment of mine, even when it is left lying around. They have access to a V6, SR-60, E2c, Zen Xtra, bass amp modeler, Sega Dreamcast, and with a little manuvering a stereo and Xbox, but they relieve themselves on everything else (including my waterproofed boots).

My wolfhound leaves the room when I put a CD on, but he likes Acoustic Jazz on vinyl.

I have a parrot (yes, I live in a zoo) that occasionally headbangs to metal. He has good taste too, only music from the 80's and earlier (excluding Pantera).

the title was my reaction to what my mom told me about my brand new ms1's, not about the 75's. I was mildly upset about the 75's but hey, as long as SH*# only happent to $15 stuff, who am i to complain.
