Never really heard of these guys until a few months ago, but they make some pretty great stuff. They're surprisingly diverse, and release albums on a pretty consistent annual basis.

Very hard to squeeze into one category. The best I can think of right now would be experimental rock, but elements of prog, blues, folk, funk, and emo all find their way in. I highly recommend every album they've made.

I've been meaning to get into this band for a while. Which album of theirs do you think would be a good introduciton?

Definitely Church Mouth. It's their most pop-ish album.

Waiter You Vultures (2006) definitely got me into them.

No weak moment on that album.

Forgot that I made this topic; sorry for dragging it up... I saw these guys live recently, and I have to say that it was one of the best shows I've ever been to. The set list was fantastic and the atmosphere was phenomenal. Call it bias but I can honestly say I have never been so totally enthralled and enveloped by a show. I highly recommend you check them out if you get the chance.

I'm really enjoying Church Mouth and Censored Colors. They played a few miles from my house, but I wasn't into them at the time. Now I really wish that I had gone. I still need to pick up Waiter You Vultures, though.
