I'm listening to my new Portapro's for the first time and I'm astounded by the lush yet incredibly detailed and musical sound. Currently, I'm listening to Bartok string quartets (emerson) - the separation of instruments and tonal purity is really impressive, especially for the price. I'm super surprised at how close these babies get to my amped HD580s.

These headphones are hands down, the best 40 bucks I've ever spent. Oh, and the absolutely destroy px100's in every category.

The only caveat is that they feel pretty cheap and plasticky. That being said, they're pretty darn comfortable.

I guess I can say I'm officially a member of the Portapro Appreciation Club....where is that anyway?

Yes indeed the portapro is a superb phone.
Got two pairs myself which i bought about a year ago.
And you're right about them being better than the px100.
Koss are the kings of cheap but quality phones.

i listened to my friends and i was kinda "meh" about them. I think that has more to do with my crappy source files than the headphones. They preformed pretty well on the FLAC files. Gotta love the real life-time warranty though!
