I've been listening to my MicroAmp, iPod 5G and Super.fi 5 Pro setup exclusively for a little over a month now and have absolutely loved every single minute with this rig.
This evening I was listening intently when I decided to give my personal-best-setup a rest and try my iPod + Total BitHead + Koss PortaPro combo. You know, for old times sake.
Heck, a couple of days ago I even thought about selling the TBH. I mean why have two? BANISH THE THOUGHT! It's funny how I appreciate this setup even more than when I was using it as my regular gear. I can honestly say that I am even more impressed with it than I ever was. It...Sounds...Fantastic!
I think the operative word I have used is "appreciate". I'm glad I was able to experience the phenominon, if you will, of the phrase "bigger doesn't always mean better...". While my MicroAmp'd gear sounds wonderful and rich and powerful - I am open minded enough not to discount less expensive options based on other, more expensive components.
I hope this make at least a little sense.
