Looking for a portable/transportable DAC/AMP that is lean - fast detailed bass- and excels at producing airy detailed treble will be used for Noble Kahn and original Utopia. Will be used from my Mac desktop. Ideal price under $1000. Thanks.

I've had the Topping G5 a few times and there's no beating it for performance. It's complete transparency, the rest is up to your headphones and equalizer settings to change it how you want. For something smaller, the Tanchjim Space is really great too on the balanced 4.4mm if you have the cables for that.
