any good recent threads that compare a few or something pretty universally head-fi approved? i'd be willing to spend up to a couple hundred. bonus if it docks my ipod touch 3g but i also keep a little sansa c250 as a backup that i'd have no problem just hooking up via an RCA to headphone jack cable. speaker quality comes before features.

I'd say the Harman Kardon Go & Play (stupid name for a product for grown-ups).

Fantastic sound for the money, it charges your iPod and there's a line-in for other audio devices (mini jack)

Tivoli makes a couple of such radios that run off AA batteries. There was a thread on here about em in off topic a yr. or 2 ago.
