Hi everyone,
I recently bought a new mp3 player and I need new headphones to go with it. The majority of music I listen to rock and I'm looking in the $100-$200 range. Ideally they wouldn't be too big and other people wouldnt be able to hear what im listening to (although I don't like IEM's as I find they hurt my ears).

I used to own Grado 125's and although I liked them I found the snare drum to be a little too predominant and they were perhaps a little big.

Anyway thanks in advance for your recommendations!

how portable is portable? the RP-21 earcups swivel far enough to lay them flat and slide them into a backpack or something.

I'm guessing you don't want to carry an amp?

I would be willing to carry an amp, I'm more concerned with the size of the earcups....when I say portable I suppose I mean as small as possible without taking a serious hit to sound quality.

Sounds like maybe HD-25 territory perhaps

i think thats mainly the 555s, 580s, 600s, and 650 which are pretty laid back, though i could easily be mistaken.

I really like my CX300`s, but watch out, there is a real problem with fakes.
