Hello,

I'm looking for portable (good looking, if possible) headphones with warm sound signature that I can use while commuting or on flights. I should also mention that I won't be using any kind of amp and would just be using it with my iphone.

I currently own ATH m50x and Sennheiser's HD 215 ii and use the m50x  as my primary pair of headphones. Both of these are awesome, especially m50x which is a very accurate pair of headphones with good bass. But these are not very portable.

Since both of them are primarily DJ/monitoring headphones, their sound signature is a bit dull with no color. I like the clarity and soundstage of m50x, but the highs are a bit fatiguing for extended listening sessions. Also its bass is a bit muddy.

I want to try something different this time with clear and warm sounding headphones with more color, something that's intended more towards casual listening. It should have deep bass, but not unnaturally deep, I like the bass of m50x. (although I wouldn't mind going a bit deeper)

But given a decent bass, I would choose clarity over bass. I listen to all genres of music including pop, hip-hop, trance, dubstep, jazz, country, rock, folk, basically everything, but i do lean towards progressive rock, blues, acoustic and classical.

Since I would be using it outside primarily, it would be a plus if its good looking.

I'm planning to spend somewhere around $100-150 (cannot stretch my budget beyond it). I don't have a model preference at this moment.

Any suggestions will be tremendously welcome.

Thanks.

Perhaps the Sennheiser Momentum over ear? http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-Momentum-Black-Headphone/dp/B00AZZNXOK/ They are currently on closeout because they released a new 2.0 model.

Here's a review: http://www.innerfidelity.com/content/very-adult-sennheiser-momentum

The Fidelio M1 is well built and good looking. It's also comfortable among On-Ears and isolates very well.
The sound is clearly warm and laid back, overall it has a very smooth presentation.

That is a really really good price for Momentums. For those cans, I'm more than okay with the price. I'll research the other suggestions and unless something better comes along, I think I'll just go with those.

Thanks a lot.
