I am looking for a portable DAC with the following requirements:
If it helps, I would be running Sony PCM-D50 > optical out > DAC > Meier 'Quickstep' amp > Etymotic ER4S or Sony MDR-7520
One DAC that I have found is the iBasso DB2. That seems to meet most of my criteria but has an internal rechargeable battery.

- DAC only (have separate 'Quickstep' amp)
- Optical-in as well as USB-in
- DAC should be very neutral and transparent
- Long power life, with (preferably) replaceable batteries (e.g. 9V / AA etc) - does such a thing exist?
