I'm pretty new to this and would be very thankful if you guys could suggest some portable/semi-portable headphones for me. I would prefer those with a large sound stage and a good amount of bass. Thanks!

Soundstage is best in an open headphone. Open headphones typically don't have the best bass though, and they also don't isolate. Which is most important to you, strong bass, or sound stage? Do you want an open headphone, or a closed isolating one? How compact do you want the headphone to be?

The $47 open Sennheiser PX100II has quite a bit of bass for an open headphone, and is quite compact.

The $28 JVC HA-S400 closed headphone using carbon nanotube technology has great detail and received great reviews.

The JVC HA-S650 is a nice compact closed headphone under $50. If you are willing to consider a larger closed headphone, you might want to consider the  Panasonic RP-HTF600-S.

If you want to go cheap, the $12 JVC HA-S160 compact closed headphone is my favorite cheap headphone.

Some will probably recommend the closed Koss pro DJ100. It is $53.51. Not strictly under $50 but close enough for many.

Hey, thanks for responding! I like a decent amount of bass but a larger sound stage is better. I had the panasonic htf-600s and those were pretty good, but they broke. Any headphones similar to those that are more portable? I'll check out the JVC's since they look pretty good. Thanks!
Btw, do you have any input on the Superlux 661s or the Beyerdynamic DT235s?
