I am looking for a pair of portable headphones for under $200. When I say "portable" I mean that they aren't open-ear and that they do not need an amp. So far I've considered the Beyerdynamic DT-250, AudioTechnica ATH-M50, Sennheiser HD 380 pro, and the Beyer DT-770. I listen to mainly classic rock, alternative, and sometimes hard rock/metal. Can anyone help me choose a pair, or at least tell me some that wouldn't work? Thank you

SRH840 with the headband mod. It's the most versatile I've found, and certainly worked for me with those genres.

HD25-1 will work, but it has an uncomfortably tight grip.

M50 and DT250 won't work. The former has poor treble and the latter has poor sound. :p

I was pleasantly surprised by DT770-250 ohms, but I'm wary of the 80 ohm versions of the Beyers.
