I need something that is portable. Sound quality is the most important factor. Price range $60-100. No buds please

right now im debating btwn Grado SR-60 or the Sennheiser PCX 200, which sounds better?

I have read that the 60's are better sound wise, more detail ect., but the eggos are portable friendly and are closed.

Am I the only one here that doesn't heasitate using a full sized headphone for portable use? I am currently enjoying a pair of Sennhieser HD-555s for all my portable needs.

There aren't a lot of good choices for closed portable phones IMO. KSC-75's or Portapros are excellent portables, but they leak sound. I like my Shure E2C's because they are portable and don't leak sound, but they go inside your ear and you didn't want that. The PX-200's are portable, closed, but their sound is just OK.

Yeah, the SR-60's will leak and let in sound as if there wasn't anything next to your head except a sound source floating in midair. The PX200's will be a better alternative, and they're highly portable.

I know you were not refering to the comfort but, due to the kind of comfort the grados give I could never imagine them being a "sound source floating in midair".
