Hello all,

I'm about to buy some Beyerdynamic headphones.
I'll be using these to play Apple Lossless files from a Macbook Pro or iPad.

Please bear with me as I'm very new to all this so if I'm asking silly questions I'm sorry in advance.

I'd love of course to get a good desktop amp to use with these but as my job forces me to move around a lot I'm looking for the best portable Amp / DAC.

Is this possible?

I guess my questions are..

1. What's the best way to go from my Macbook Pro / iPad to the headphones?
2. Is there anything out there that will drive the T1's well, but is still portable? Doesn't need to be tiny but portable.
3. The amp would need to be USB or battery powered if possible.

Best wishes,
Simon

Hiya,

After a bit more searching I think I'm going to go with a Nuforce Icon HDP.
Not "portable" but very small. DAC and Amp in one. Seems to get good feedback for the price.

Does anyone know if this will pair up with the T1's well?

Regards,
Simon
