Portable equipment for classical

my rig:

iPod -> Ken & Hans' Hardwired Dock -> PINT -> rewired KSC35

the drum roll intro of Jean Gilles's requiem is very airy and realistic in this rig.
to my taste, PINT is one of the best protable amp we can get now. it blows almost all protable amps under $400 out of water.

When I'm in the mood for classical I use my iPod through my Silver Six Shooter LOD into my Portaphile V2^2. I use my Etymotic ER-4P's through my 4P/4S adapter cable.

I find that this combo is excellent for classical, detail and resolution are top notch, as are the dynamics and the sense of time and rhythm.

Soundstaging is standard headphone fair, IOW it's really headstaging rather than soundstaging.

I would say something like the SR-71 and E4C would be nice for classical.
