I was just curious. Do you know of a digital audio player which can run a parametric eq with many bands, eg +20? 
 
I was thinking of something similar to electri-q.

Thank you! This app looks really cool. They state it "works with most iPod" players, and also iPad. Do you know which ones it will run on? I will check it out on my friend's ipod touch 5g.

I just found it "Requires iOS 6.0", so I guess that answers my question.
