howdy folks!
I would like to buy myself a good portable amp/dac combo unit. the reason i want a combo unit is because i need something to power my IEMs at work. i need something thats low profile, or at least just one unit. infact most of the time im listening to cans its for portable use. id like something that can power cans up to 300ohms or greater if possible. my audio sources very; i use my iphone 5 at work where i move around a lot and at home and my classic and tablet while traveling or around the house. im looking to spend up to and around $600 or so.
sorry i know im being a bit vague, let me know what you want me to expand on.
thanks for reading and thanks for your help.

Wasn't sure if you wanted to use the DAC with your iPhone or not, but if so your choices are much much fewer and it will be a much bigger device and more expensive.  The devices mentioned above will not work.

Yes that is a host mode device and should work with your iPhone.  Too bad these host mode devices are all big and power hungry and expensive.  Would be nice to see one the same size as a normal device mode dac/amp, especially considering you really don't need it to provide the iPhone with usb bus power.
