I've done alot of reading and realise there is actually not many true DACs out there for iphone.
I've tested headphones in the shops, which was running DAC/AMP and it was just brilliant sound.
After using the same headphones on my mac/ipad/iphone, it sounded dreadful...the sound was not as full, no punch.
Could that be a reason for AMP or DAC?
Please recommend me an amp/dac for under $500.
I also have an old Cowon D2, laying around at home, but that was also dull...the sound was very flat. maybe needs EQ tuning.
