Firstly I'm a newbie here regarding audio stuff so bear with me :)

I'm looking for a portable CD player (the one that you can carry around), budget is about $100,
can go up to $200, if it's a good value for money.

Again I don't know much about this area, so the 'default' choice that I can find is Sony DEJ011,
which judging from reviews on Amazon.com is not a very good product.

TIA

The PCDP that has the best SQ is player before 1992 and they are not really portable.

What is the reason you want PCDP?

There's always a reason.

When travelling longer distances to other parts of the country, I always pack with me my Sony PCDP in case I find an interesting CD in a music store or in second hand markets. It's not always you got the patience to wait until you come home to listen to a CD.

Here's some reviews:  http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/368633/cd-players-through-the-years-a-a-s-collection

There was another review thread but I can't find it.

Don't bother to buy the PCDP with "DE" series.  They don't sound good.

if u don't mine they are not portable, d321,d350,d303,dz555,d100,d50,d25,d33 are good choices.

Try their phone out and u will be "WOW".
