Hi guys,

I'm looking for a new portable cd player to use with my massive collection of cd's and audiobook. :)

I really don't know which of these models (Sony, Panasonic, Philips) are far better than others in terms of audio quality. I'll use it with a pair of Beyerdynamic DT1350. And finally it must be new, not refurbished or used. Can you give me ad advice? :)

Thanks so much!

It seems like decent quality portable CD players stopped being made at least 5 years ago. It will be hard to find new ones. The Panasonic ones and some Sony ones were good. I suggest that you get an mp3 player instead, and use a high bitrate.

Thank you so much for your reply.

I have an mp3 player and i use it with high bitrate file, but i have also some cd's that i'm using now for some languagfe and university courses.  It would be too long and complex transfer and ripping all of them into my PC.

Thant's why I need a Cd player. I undestrand that i cannot pretend an exeptional sound quality, but quality for price, which could be the best?

Sony D-EJ011?
Sony D-NE241?
Panasonic (don't know which model...)?
Philips?
Technics?

Thank you so much guys :)

I had the Panasonic ones. They were all quite good. You can buy them used on Ebay. I haven't seen them for sale new in several years. There are  two Sony models still available new, however these look like lower end models.
