Morning all...

I'm currently running a iBasso DX90 with a pair of custom cable modded Sennheiser HD25 II for my daily commute, but as the DX90 doesn't have bluetooth support, I'm looking for any suggestions for a portable bluetooth transmitter and bluetooth earbuds so that I can use my DX90 in the gym. I have tried with a TaoTronics Bluetooth 4.0 Wireless Stereo Transmitter and a pair of  Soundpeats Qy7 Bluetooth 4.0 earbuds (both sourced from Amazon) but no matter how much I tried, I couldn't get the two to pair

so any cost effective suggestions for a combination which will pair and work would be very much appreciated

Friend of mine uses the above combo and they work well according to her but I have not listened to it myself.

Have you tried paring any other blutooth headphones to the TauTronics??

I've actually just had a TaoTronics TT-BA06 delivered, but it just wouldn't pair with the Soundpeats Qy7 I'd specifically bought to use with it. In fact, the Soundpeats decided to stop pairing with my iPhone 6 today, so they'll be back on their way back to Amazon with the TT-BA06 tomorrow. In the meantime, I've grabbed an upgraded TT-BA01 and will see if that will do the job... but I'm not sure which bluetooth earbuds to use. The JayBird Bluebuds are just a bit too rich for my pocket, so I'll be looking for something around the £50/£60 mark...

Just to report back in case any other iBasso owners looking at adding Bluetooth on a budget... the TT-BA01 (@ £14.99 via Amazon UK) arrived today, as did a pair of FSL Inertia Bluetooth earbuds (also via Amazon UK @ £44.99) and the two paired in a matter of seconds without any glitches. I doubt the FSL Inertia earbuds are anywhere near the last word in sound reproduction, but when pounding a treadmill, they'll no doubt do a more than adequate job...

Those Inertia's look identical to the Plantronics Backbeats Go 2.

I would have gone with these;

By all accounts very good sound quality.

Glad you got your wireless solution up and running.

As far as transmitters go, I find I get great battery life and sound quality out of this little beauty (Paired with Fiio X1).

Many thanks chaps, appreciate the additional feedback... I've added the last transmitter recommended in post #6 to my Amazon wish-list, just in case the TT-BA01 ever fails. At present, the combination listed in post #4 is working well, albeit, I do have drop-outs when venturing away from the transmitter/iBasso combination. It is certainly good enough for the gym environment though, but there is no doubt the sound quality of the FSL Inertia earbuds could be improved on, but that is something I may look at in the future - as is the case with decent Bluetooth closed-back over ear bins which would sonically match my current wired HD 25-1 II for the daily commute...
