I'm not sure if I should invest in a portable amp or not, pretty new to all this.

my DAP is an iPhone 3G and i've already recently purchased an Ultrasone HFI-780.

from what i've read i may as well buy a cheapie portable amp Fiio - E5

Recommended?

Fiio-E5 is really cheapie but fun!

I don't want to splash out too much since i've only recently just bought the headphones.
As i'm really new to this, i just wanna learn what an amp can do, so ive thought about buying the fiio. Also would it (the amp) increase the battery life of the iPhone (or any other DAP for that matter)?
