I just bought a Porta Corda III Usb. Main use will be as a combined USB soundcard and headphone amp at work. Couldn't stand sound directly from the motherboard integrated soundcard. The sound improved a lot with the corda! Very pleased!
But I also tested it with my friends iPod Shuffle, with Sennheiser PX-200 phones. I didn't here much difference amped or unamped. Do you think portable headphone amps improve sound of portables a lot? Or are PX-200 too low quality to reveal differences?
I just ordered a Sony NW-HD3 which has line out, that the shuffle didn't. Will that make a difference?
