Are there any portables with phono inputs? Like, for a turntable.

Anything with an analog line in will do it. I used a female RCA -> male 1/8" adapter with a D2 Boa and now with Nuforce Icon Mobile. Neither worked very well. Just not enough juice.

I think I might look for an old vintage stereo receiver with a good phono stage. Even if you don't use the headphone jack, you could feed from the receiver to a headphone amp.

get 2 portable amps or one really powerful one. with 2 you could use one as a pre to get the signal hot enough and one as the amp
