So, yet another convert to the cause of head-fi, the pain in the bank account that I can see goes with it, and hoping for a little advice.

I've been using my Shure Ec3s now for some time with my ipods, but recently got some ES7s to get on the bottom of the headphone ladder. I'm considering how to take the next step with a portable amp and LOD. I listen to all types of music, from rock to dance to ambient to jazz.

I would love to be as portable as possible and have seen a lot of reviews. I see the RSA Tomahawk is very small, but appears to be geared towards IEMs, so was how they would work with the ES7s?

I am willing to pay a bit more for a small size, like the Tomahawk, unless there is a more appropriate cheaper option? I guess, in an ideal, but perhaps unrealistic, world I would not be spending more than £75-£100 ($150-$200)

All help much appreciated.
