Hello,

I am looking for a not-too-expensive phone amp for my iPod. The headphone I am using is Grado 325, alone with Sony MDR-888 and will get a Shure E5C along with some mid-end Sony earphone.

I find some cMOY phone amps on eBay around $40USD, are they good? If not, any suggestion for small portable amp around $100USD?

My music type vary from classical to pop, but mostly piano.

Many thanks

Vic

Cmoys are considered to be the most basic amp, a MINT or portable Pimeta might fit your bill better

Im currently using a Porta Corda in between my iPod and my MS2i
I'm pretty impressed with the sound, but then again I've never heard an amped headphone before.

Never the less, You could probally get a used one for just over your budget, as they are pretty devalued because of the group buy.

I'm using a Xenos 0HA with my Grado's and I really like it.

You can read about it here

Good Luck,
