portable amp for hd 595 senns

Wanna buy a cheap portable headphone amp less than a hundred quid or $150
for my senn hd 595 50ohm version wanna connect to ipod and computer been lookin at shellbrook mini moy/maxi moy or any other suggestions. Any shops in the uk that sell good amps? cheers

The cmoy I have doesn't make any difference to the sound of the 595 that I can hear. It does make a difference with current hungry headphones like the grado 325i but the 595 is very easy to drive. If the source you're using is so underpowered that you're getting audible distortion or using nearly all available power, get a better source.

My cmoy makes a difference with my HD595s. My source is a PCDP Sony DNE-300. I agree that the 595s aren't all that power hungry, for instance, the 595s sound better straight out of an ipod mini than my 650s, but an amp does improve them, the 650s just scale better, they end up pulling ahead of the 595s with a better amp.

I would suggest a Go-Vibe. I use one w/ my 595s and like it a lot. Plus you can roll op-amps which makes a noticable difference w/ the Senns. You really can't go wrong for the price IMHO.
