Yesterday, I tried the E7 with the Toshiba Thrive using the Thrive full size USB port but I could not get any sound ( Internal speaker sound only) out of the E7 to my cans.

I normally use the Toshiba Thrive HDMI port to my AVR but I now want to get better sound out of my Thrive with an USB DAC/AMP.

Any Toshiba Trive owner has tried this process with sucess, please have me advised.

I think android 3.0 doesn't support the usb host function necessary to use an amp with it from usb. Android 4.0 does support this, so you'll either have to wait for an update from toshiba or root and flash a custom rom to use it.

Thank you for the info. I may as well use the Thrive by using HDMI out straight to my Pioneer SC05  The output of the Thrive headphone jack is so bad that my Sansa Clip Zip sounds like hi-end gear. LOL.

Bad job on audio performance part, Toshiba.
