Since the answer to a portable DAC for the iPhone seems to be a bulky host mode USB device and all iPhones support lossless Airplay over wifi the obvious question is where are all the portable Airplay DAC/Amps? Would love to drop the wires completely and get something small for my iPhone that takes lossless audio directly via wifi, decoupling the electrical systems entirely and providing clean untethered sound.
