I'm looking for an AMP as the subject implies...

I'm going to be using them for these things

* Gaming
* Listening to music on my computer (ocationally a CD player)
* Listen to movies on my computer

I don't want to spend more than $250...

I've got < Ultrasone HFI-650 > as cans... and thats about all I can think of...

I'm also looking for a good computer sound card... I'm thinking a Turtle Beach... or Audigy 2... so answer which over question you know

That's what I'm getting for my Ultrasones. $250 should be plenty for a portable META 42.

You can PM one of the DIY'ers here on the boards. I just bought one from JMT, but I believe others dabble as well. If you use the search function, you'll probably find descriptions of the Meta (sound and otherwise) made in a more eloquent way than I could give you. But the consensus is, and I agree, that the Meta is the best sounding portible for the price.
