Just got my Beyer DT990 matched with a Schiit Magni and have noticed that on high volumes only my right earphone will make a slight driver flopping noise on a bass note. When i isolate all the sound to only my left earphone it takes a lot more volume to make the driver sound distorted and it doesnt sound nearly as bad as the right would. Could i posibly have a bad driver? I thought these phones were bass cannons which imo they arent. My hd555's on a sound card alone almost have more bass dare i say. I cant even EQ more bass and still have loud mids/highs due to this issue. Maybe im just hitting the headphones limits?

It certainly seems to me that you have a driver fault. Send them back but request a new pair - it may be Beyerdynamic's (or their agent's) policy to repair for free wherever you are, but you'll have to wait for the work to be carried out of course.
