Everytimes I switch light or air conditioning on/off , I hear weird pop noise. I play my musics through X-Fi -> amp -> HD595.

I tried iPod 5g ->amp -> HD595 , the problem was gone. Tried X-Fi -> HD595 without an amp , no pop noise, too. The problem seems to happen only if I have my amp connected to X-Fi. How can I solve this problem?

For your information : I got a ups for my pc. The light switch and air conditioning switch are about 1 meter away from my system.

I was having a similar problem.

Most likely your light switch is on the same circuit your PC is connected to.

Buy an isolation transformer and say goodbye to the popping.
First P=plug your amp to the transformer and see if the problem goes away.

If not, plug both your PC AND your amp into the isolation transformer and that should do it.

I prefer to isolate the source exclusively so try your PC isolated first.

Hopefully that helps.

Here is one that sold already but you can see that its not too expensive:

AudiogoN ForSale: Topaz 2.4KVA

There are many others.

Thank you for your help. The solution you suggested is very expensive for a college student like me though. Are there any cheaper solutions?
