I bit. Got my promo code and it worked fine online- not tax and free shipping. :)  Didn't really want yellow but you can't beat the price. Can't wait to compare it to my Fiio X1 and X3 second edition.  I just hope the Pono can handle 11,000 songs in it's database.

well i got the code to work after switching to the standard server
then logging out and logging back in a little fiddly but it worked
to good a deal to pass up
i also have the x1 and x3ii

interested in the balanced output
time to heat up the soldering iron

That's for music, if you spend more than $40, if I remember correctly, at the Pono site.

Anyway thanks for posting that. And thankfully I missed it! Which makes my 770 very happy... which is okay, because my 770 makes me very happy :)

I have the black one, always slightly sorry I didn't go for the yellow (grass is greener...)

I have the black version - I find the casing marks easily with finger prints and little smudges. Sometimes I wished for mellow yellow. Or, ultimately that rare clear edition I've seen around.
