Now that I have had more time to play with my Shure e5........I noticed something else =)

With most of my mp3's I tend to use volume 1 on my ipod. This is straight to a ipod (no amp - and no eq settings on ipod).

SO the questoin is this: at what volume do you use your ipod and shure e5.?

This is entirely normal due to the extremely sensative nature of the E5s.

Is it also a good indicato that i have not too much hurt my hearing with my headphone addiciton? lol

I generally run my iPod at about half volume when using my E5's...I also normalize all my mp3's to 92dB

With my e3's I run my iPod at around 1-3...

With some songs I can actually turn the sound all the way down and still hear the music....

So I guess my hearing isn't shot yet either...
