Driver imbalance or failure is a significant issue for any headphone owner.  There already is a 50-page thread covering Stax headphone problems.  The objective of this poll is to generate data on what the incidence of these problems has been for Stax headphone owners, since the existing thread does not really shed any light on that.

I voted just to start it off.

You will probably end up with a biased sample. I would think that those who have had faults are more likely to vote.

I personally have owned at least a fifteen different Staxen over 35 plus years and have not had a driver fail in normal operation. I did physically damage a Sigma driver by stepping on the cable and standing up with the phones on my head. This broke sections of the the headband assembly and split one driver assembly so that the outer plate came loose. But that was hardly normal usage. Otherwise, as regards repairs, I have repaired 4 cables where a wire broke and one plastic fork that holds a Lambda earcup.
