I love the look! Especially the RS-1/2.

I have to admit, I liked them at first sight.

I fell in love with the look the first time I saw them. I like all retro stuff so they look just right for me.

Sometimes I wear them in school and on street just to annoy people, 'cause people in my school seem to think that they are some old and crappy phones.
Then I make them listen the phones.

(I haven't seen anyone in my school to have better phones than Portapros, and I've seen one of those.)

I think it depends on the material, the plastic just comes off as cheap and dated. I really like the aluminum, the wood are ok and the plastic I don't like at all. I don't know how much sense that makes, since they are all the same basic shape, but that's my feelings.

Yup, whenever I wear mine, I break into a rash and feel the urge to throw them off and lock up them far far away from me.

But really. I like the Grado design in a way. It's simple. I actually prefer it to some of the more plasticky designs of the infamous Sony v-series.

I've always liked the grado retro.

I disagree. Although yes, they aren't exactly uh . . the coolest aesthetics in most non-headphile circles, I do know for a fact that they don't repel the opposite sex. Well, at least in my case.

Headphones don't make the man, good looks do!

(and personality too, I guess . . .)

For the upper end models, very much yes. The lower end plastic models on the other hand not so much. They all have roughly the same design, but the metal and wood of the higer end models just give a touch of class that the plastic models lack. Even so, I would have no problems wearing any of them in public - other than the fact that they have no isolation and their relative bulk kills that option for me anyhow.
