Polk Audio R50 vs swan M200mkii

Do you already own a speaker amp or receiver? If so, I would say go the R50. Also, are these for nearfield listening? If so, I would get the Swan M200MKII. I haven't heard the R50 personally, but I am going to guess they have similar sound with the R50 being better at SPL and dispersion.

Im planning on buying the compass and i do have a stereo reciever if i must use it.

Again, if nearfield, then Swans. Otherwise, R50. I have the CMT-340SE on my desk and it works great and sound great, but I have to make sure to sit back in my seat because they weren't made for nearfield listening which means the sweet spot is further away and harder to find for a desktop setting.

I would suggest Onix XLS, for nearfield use, since you have a receiver already. They are better sounding than the Swan M200 I think (used to own swans years ago) and cost less too.
