Total Bithead if you do not have an amp, since your listed phones need amplification. $200 from Headroom. If you do have an amp, you should either get the listed above or put the 300 down on headroom micro dac...although that one is really voiced to work with sennheiser hd6xx series, as another head-fier has demonstrated to me on his rig. (sounds very excellent though, I can't tell a difference between it and his stationary cd-player)

Would a bithead add anything to E4Cs? How should I phrase it? Not a huge diff I'm asking... more enough of a diff, if you get me, to justify the price. Altough I can afford the microamp as well but y'know...

I notice no real difference with my E4s, and most people with the same setup have tended to agree on other threads ive read. Its nice to have crossfeed, but not 200 dollars nice. The bithead would have more of an effect on the high impedence ER4 though.
