I recently read up on terms to use, so I figured i'd investigate this.
I'm not feeling very well today (head cold = bad ears) so while i was listening i decided to "pop" them. I held it there for a while and noticed that headstage was almost completely gone but soundstage because HUGE.
Can someone please do explain this?
sorry if what i mean is bad to understand

Ears and nose are, eh, connected. If I got a cold my ears will be plugged as well. Cleaning your nose helps a lot.

I had an awful cold a few weeks ago. Made well-recorded music sound awful. When my sinuses finally cleared... ahhh! What a relief!

My thoughts exactly. When his cold clears, he'll have a few days of entertainingly-coloured watery mucous and all of a sudden will be able to hear properly again.

I know what you mean mate, changing the pressure in your head, like what divers do. Yeah the soundstage becomes much bigger, the bass is reduced but you can still hear the high's.

Hurts though, i nearly passed out. :p

xx
