Has anyone not been able to get the firmware update software to detect their device? No matter what I do, it always just says "No device is available". I've tried plugging in my Go-Link to every USB-C port I have on my XPS 15, Win11 laptop, tried both the V1.2 and V1.1 firmware update utilities, tried removing the Go-Link from the device manager and having it recognized again, and yes, tried restarting the laptop. Nothing works.

No, this is my first time trying to update it, and I can't even make an attempt to update it.

So figured this issue out, but iFi support wasn't helpful. All iFi support told me to do was try another PC, which I did and it was the same thing. I told iFi support this and they just went silent.

I poked around iFi's Download Hub some more and noticed they had a Windows Driver download for the Go-Link. The instructions pdf included in the firmware update package did not mention this whatsoever. I tried installing the driver and viola, the update utility could now recognize my Go-Link. I successfully updated to v1.80.

I told iFi support in the ticket that they should include the driver installation in the instructions, but who knows if they will listen. Anyway, no bricked device, it's on v1.80 and seems to be working just fine.

I am glad you got it sorted out in the end.

I will mention your suggestion to folks who would be able to do something to facilitate this, thank you for that!

Hope you have continued enjoyment of the GO Link.

Cheers!!

Hello, my GoLink quite small QR code sticker got almost unreadable from usage and I can't read the serial number which is required for any downloads. How can I check if I'm on the latest firmware? Is there a joker Sr NR that can be used to check and download if required?

Try putting in one of the numbers listed as "starts with" and then 5 random numbers :xf_wink:

Cheers!!

Has anyone compared the iFi GO Link to the Shanling UA3? Just curious of the difference in sound (brighter, warmer, etc.). Thanks!

Thanks - already on latest 1.80 :)
I don’t have a Windows computer and I am disappointed I still can’t upgrade the Go Link firmware with my Mac, and I will be stuck with whatever my Go Link came with. I had no such problem with my iFi Nano iDSD or Micro iDSD Black Label and they could be upgraded with a Mac.
