I am looking for a good pair of headphones for under 150$ with the following conditions :

1. I'll be using it with a laptop (intergated sound card).
2. I am going to use it mostly to listen to music (classic rock and blues mostly).
3. I am going to use it in a quiet environment, so noise cancellation isn't an issue.
4. Portability isn't an issue either.

So far, from reading reviews on the internet, the Sennheiser HD280 Pro seems to be a good choice.
What headphones would you recommend ?

For unamped cans, the Grado SR80 or Alessandro MS-1's are a good bet.

HD280s are great if you need isolation, but for your music choices you will love the Grado SR80s. I'm sitting at work right now, listening to Pink Floyd on mine, hooked up to nothing but an iPod (no iTunes on these computers).

Any cans that make you want to get up and do air guitar at this price point are well worth it, IMO.

If you do go Grado, wash your pads in hot water first and let dry a few days. They get much more comfortable.
