Hello,
 
I don't know why it is so hard for me to find exactly what I'm looking for, because there is lots of stuff out there that should make me very happy (Thievery Corporation, Massive Attack etc.), but doesn't.
 
So I ask for your help. I already used grooveshark to find what I'm looking for, but got only disappointing results.
 
I am searching some slow, groovy downtempo with mellow bass, and possibly some jazz elements. I'd prefer them having a happy note, even though some of my examples I'd call nostalgicnostalgic.
 
Albums I love with all my heart are:
Tosca - J.A.C.
Fat Freddys Drop - Based on a True Story
Waldeck - Ballroom Stories
(Belleruche - Turntable Soul Music)
(Micatone - Nomad Songs)
 
I checked other albums by these artists, some of which are very good, but do not hit the sweet spot as well as these.
 
 
Please help me find some music I'll like. I'd ask you to recommend me specific albums if possible.

Just came across your ~ 2 1/2 year old post.    Have you found any artists or albums that fit your search for "mellow downtempo"?
 
Have you ever listened to Smoker's Delight by Nightmares On Wax?
