AFK, thanks for the links to the Shades. gave me a real good look at it..

the Agent 18 VideoShield Cover is a Polycarbonate just like the Claro but it does not speak of being scratch resistant. one thing I like about the Claro is that it alows for an iSkin to be used underneath for extra protection but I do not like the belt clip/ stand attached to it. unless it can be removed. as for the VideoShield Cover the belt clip and stand can be bought in a kit for $5 more and added to the case as needed. not sure I want or need but for $5 more.. the VideoShield Cover also gets excellent reviews with a clean look to it!

do these hard shell cases scratch the iPods themselves?

has anyone used the ShieldZone Invisible Shield. protects pretty much the whole iPod and can be used with other cases that have open screens and wheels.

how about the ZCover, has anyone used it? it's another ultra thin case.

Invisible Shield / BSE / etc. do not protect the corners. I also don't like the seams and the non clean lines/seams on the click wheel area.

I've already pre-ordered the PDO Aluminum V2, so I'll see how that turns out when I get it in November.
