I really enjoy Fiona Apple's and Chantel Kreviazuk's covers...beautiful.

Are there other performers out there with good covers of popular Beatles songs? Something as close to the original as possible. Oasis does a rocking rendition of "I am the Walrus," but this version is too different from the source.

Just heard a cover of John Lennon's "#9 Dream" from his solo career that was done by R.E.M. and it sounded pretty good. Honestly I think a good Beatles cover is hard to find.

And I almost forgot, there was a bluegrass band that did a Beatles cover album in the sixties called Beatle Country. It's by The Charles River Valley Boys and it's actually quite good if you can get into the style of it. Really nice harmonies and a progressive bluegrass sound.

check out their version of "Helter Skelter" from Familiar To Millions. it's top-notch stuff, their cover of "Hey Hey, My My" was awesome too... wish they weren't so terrible as of late!

anyone ever seen that video on youtube of the guy doing "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" on ukulele? it's pretty awesome.

also, i'd like to nominate the worst Beatles cover ever: Frank Sinatra doing "Something". eww.
