Is there any audiophile DAP with a simple red display? I don't need unnecessary smartphone/computer features. I don't need a battery-sucking screen. And I most definitely don't need melatonin-suppressing blue and green light.

Not many... Look at a used A&K sr15... The cell phone look seems to be where everyone is going... What type of sound signature do you like? Musical, neutral, treble head, bass head, forward mids?
