Hi everybody,
I'm a newbie with a setup consisting of an A-3 Qinpu amp and an HD 650 with modi DAC. I've had my phones for almost a year now and have, unfortunately, dropped it (BY ACCIDENT!!!) two or three times. My concern began when I was listening to some bassy songs when I noticed that the bass felt really muddy and did not sound very good at high volume. I did not EQ either. Fearing that something might be wrong with my headphones, I used the ultimate headphone test online and did the full-sweep matching driver test, and it felt as though as the frequency went higher my headphones sometimes suddenly went louder to the right, and then to the left, and vice versa. I then did the center and twisted wiring tests and found that my headphones would sometimes crackle. I heard a good deal of cracking when doing the twisting test, and felt as though a few months ago when I got the headphones the sound was much smoother and had a shape, or in other words, it really felt like there was something twisting in my head. But now it is not much too different from center. What do you guys think? Should I call Sennheiser since I'm still under warranty? Help would be greatly appreciated.
