Ok, so I turn on the rega.... pop in a disc....press play...and 20 seconds into it the rega planet dies on me!!!!!

No lights, no disc spinning so that means no power? Changed the fuse and the plug... nothing.

Brothers and sisters, help a man in need!

What can I do? send her back to Rega seems the logical thing but thats means even more money being taken away from the ppx3 account...

Please help me with any suggestions.

That's easy. Buy my Planet instead.

But really, how are we supposed to help? Stuff fails, not only iPods do. I'd say take it to a radio/TV repair guy first to rule out the simpler causes for error, then send it in.

Maybe you can get it looked at locally for less hassle and less money? I had some problems with my old Rega Planet, a bit along the same lines. I took it into the local dealer where I bought it long ago (don't think they even sell Rega kit any more), and basicly all that was wrong with it was it needed a good dusting and clean-out. Their engineer/technician did it for £50, which was good value for me, for going from no CD player to working CD player. Been fine ever since.
